A quote about government

"Im Kapitalismus beutet der Mensch den Menschen aus – aber im Kommunismus ist es genau umgekehrt." --Radio Eriwan [as used by e pluribus unum in his blog]

"In capitalism, people exploit people - In comunism, however, the rolls are reversed."

In American politics the description holds: one party preaches about how much they want to help the poor and points to the other party's lack of progress on that front; neither party ever actually makes progress on that front, both continue to exploit everyone they can. Posit Democrat or Republican as you see fit.

Almost thirty? Sounds like you have it all figured out. That qualifies you to preach or maybe run a pawnshop.

I think I like anonymous.

So Ty, what would you have us do in this broken screwed up system of ours?

I'm supposed to vote tomorrow, and yet all I'm left with is two parties who have nothing and yet everything in common. They oppose eachother in every way, even if it's just for the sake of opposition. And yet both are schmucks (sp?) who I know nothing about except for the fact that they're in politics (which is not a quality I respect very much).

Sure there are the independents, the green party and all that. But who really wants to waste a vote?

I say we all move to Panama and swim in the canal.

Anonymous, "all figured out," ha! I may be at the starting point, I know who I am (as much as I am able), and I know that the real answers are not as simple as my words, but I am ready to learn, and I try very hard to do that.

As for preaching and pawnshops, I'd rather try something that has a better chance of makeing a positive difference in the world . . . perhaps "friend," or "artist" would do, but I aspire to "teacher," someday, which I hope is both.

Rizzle, I've posted an answer.
